Sukeban Deka: Red Camelia part 1

Ok...good news, bad news.

The bad news is thanks to some serious damage on my computer, I  have to get a new one. If anyone can assist via donations here, that would be appreciated. My hope is to be back up and running in full within the week. Regarding an update on some series I know you've been waiting on? Shin Mazinger Zero's next chapter is in editing phases and going well. After this, we are waiting for Habanero Scans to scan in volume 6, which will then be translated. Violence Jack is in translation and QC phase, and God Mazinger V3 is in QC phase as well. Hopefully more will be ready there very shortly. Maui-Den is just waiting on Hox, but hopefully won't be long.

The good news? Here's a brand new piece of Sukeban Deka's next part.

  1. I'm curious, did you see what was posted on Hox site about Kamui-Den? Look on the bottom. I wouldn't touch that and go into deep lawsuits if I were you. You're literally asking for trouble.

    1. Seems like bullshit to me. It's hard to take a post made openly on Hox's site seriously when it starts with "Reproduction of this letter is a criminal offense and will be handled accordingly if you decide to post this letter openly on either/any site". If it's not supposed to be posted openly, why didn't he email it to Hox? Hox lists his email address in the about page on his site, so it's easy to find.

Besides, he didn't even use an actual account. Any schmuck could write their name as "Carl Hayes" and link viz.com if they had a mind to.

  2. I dunno, man. It seems pretty legit to me. I don't know who would go through all that trouble just to make something up. Especially when the guys a real representative for Viz Media.

A lot of guys know what a C&D look like. And that sure as shit looks like one. As far as reproducing that letter. Most companies are required to add something to protect themselves. One here, you have to get approved on messages as do most sites like these. He probably thought the same for Hox's site as well. That's my only assumption to why that was posted live on there. Which makes sense.

In manga scanlations, no one is safe. Everyone knows that this is illegal work. No one owns licenses or anything like that. They're just fans basically plagiarizing an authors work. So, if Wright and Hox were smart, they'd drop the series. I wouldn't go poking a massive multi-billion dollar company over some bullshit series and risk my own freedom. Only a fool would do that.
