Moto Hagio's R is for Rocket complete.

R Is For Rocket complete

With great thanks to our man Hox for his amazing work translating this manga.

Some of you surely know of Moto Hagio, one of the Year 24 Group. She's one of the most famous Shojo writers, and an absolute pioneer. Stories like her Heart of Thomas, and A Drunken Dream have been translated and are quite available around the place, so please be sure to check them out.

Now, part of the reason this is being released, is because of Ray Bradbury, who probably needs no introduction. Ray Bradbury was also a true pioneer and a great artist. Bradbury's works like Fahrenheit 451, The Illustrated Man, the Martian Chronicles and so many others reinforce him as a man who loved stories and respected their power. He could make you laugh, inspire terror, hope or sadness. Ray Bradbury passed away in June, unfortunately. Translating and editing this for English audiences is just the least we can do to pay tribute to him.

Do yourself a this manga. And go out and get some other stories by Ray Bradbury. There Will Come Soft Rains, The Small Assassin, A Sound of a career spanning decades, he had a lot of them. It's a real honor and privilege to be able to bring this collection to you now. Moto Hagio's art works beautifully for these stories, bringing Bradbury's work to a new audience.
The stories are R is for Rocket, The Screaming Woman, The Fog Horn, Come Into My Cellar, The Lake, Homecoming, Jack In The Box and The Rocket Man

Poignant human stories, alien invasions, tales of loss, and reaching for the stars, as far as we can go.

RIP, Ray. Enjoy, everyone

HERE WE ARE! Home stretch of this series! Thanks to Offtopia for their typesetting and to Other Side of Sky for his translating! Enjoy the amazing battle!

Volume 29

Please scroll down to check our more Mars, and the start of Alabaster, and remember we're on the lookout for typesetters, translators and cleaners, especially for editing help with Violence Jack.

Alabaster, chapter 1

My, this was a long time in the coming, wasn't it? Well, here is chapter 1 as a taste. The next release will be the full volume, when Hox is finished with it. Tezuka's darkest, most controversial work right here.

"James Block is a former sports star whose criminal endeavors landed him in jail. In prison he meets "Dr. F", a strange old man who tells James about a beam that can turn living things invisible.

After escaping from prison, James finds and uses the laser on himself. But, because the beam has not been perfected yet, it only rendered his skin invisible, leaving his insides visible to the outside. Angered at his disfigurement, James takes the name "Alabaster" and begins eliminating the hypocrites and the boastful. He is joined by Ami Ozawa, the granddaughter of "Doctor F", who was rendered invisible after the doctor used his pregnant daughter as an "F Beam" test subject.

On their trail is Rock, a vicious FBI agent.."
That's right, people. Tremble and despair. Rock, star of Vampires, is BACK! Will he have a villain song this time? Time will tell!

Mars Volume 5, chapter 1

Vita Arcana volume 1

Vita Arcana chapter 1, a new historical manga translated by OtherSideOfSky, and with a joint with Offtopia! This manga takes place during the Pax Romana, after the death of Emperor Caracalla. It's quite an awesome story, with some fantastic art.

"It's 217 AD, several decades after the end of the "Pax Romana," and the Roman Empire is still the most powerful empire in the world. However, between corruption in the government, increasing attacks from savage hordes, and continuing resource-draining foreign campaigns, the power of Rome is on the decline. With the recent assassination of the emperor Caracalla, many things are about to change..."

We're just waiting for Offtopia to finish Blade of the Immortal volume 29, so enjoy this while you wait!

And remember, still on the lookout for editors, typesetters and translators!
