Kamen Rider volume 1 (Joint with Offtopia)

Another new project, this time by the legendary Ishinomori Shotaro.  Kamen Rider is pretty big in Japan, mainly due to the multiple TV series, and we're proud to bring you the manga that started it all.  Much thanks to our new translator Sarutobi for translating this, and to Offtopia for their help in making this release possible.

  1. I like Kamen Rider but I really was not having fun watching the TV show. This was much better and I'm glad to see the first volume in English and the opportunity to read it. Thank you and Offtopia.

  4. Guys, i'm REALLY REALLY grateful for this release! I've been waiting for years to read this manga, and now i can finally read it! Thank you very much for releasing it. Looking foward to the next volumes.

Do you guys intend to release other Ishinomori's manga as well? (like "Ryu no Michi" or "Cyborg 009" for example)

  5. Cyborg 009...probably not, since we put up the Tokyopop editions of 1-10. Someone else is doing a Cyborg 009 translation project, too.
And Ryu no Michi...oh, we plan that, and other Ishinomori as well.

Also Deka Black: Oh, we know. You don't think we're stopping at volume one, do you? Hang with us and your faith will be rewarded

  6. thanks for releasing this! I wonder if the kamen rider 1971 tv series came out first before this manga? All I know is a manga adaptation was also featured in Shōnen Magazine around the same period with the tv series. ^^

  7. The manga came out before, but the TV series is already on production when it begins in the Shonen Magazine. Like Go Nagai's Devilman and Mitsuteru Yokoyama's Giant Robot.

  10. Awesome! I'm so glad to see that you guys are doing this series. Any chance that you guys might do the Kamen Rider Black manga after this one? I've heard it is alot different than the TV series, and always wanted to check it out.

  11. Just a correction that it was actually the Skull Man manga that was the basis of the Kamen Rider tv series. This manga was published at the same time as the airing of the television series in 71.
